Welcome to the clearinghouse of resources for the Western region. We want to make sure you, your family, and people you work with have access to the resources needed, when they are needed. Use our clearinghouse to learn what resources may be available in your local area or within your state.

How to use the Clearinghouse

First, select the service category you are interested in. Second, select the state you would like to search for resources that fall within that category. If you are new to using our clearinghouse, or if you are not sure what service category to select, you can generate a more generalized list of results to browse. You can identify the state you wish to explore and select the “search for resources” button to generate the list.

Community Restorative Training (CRT)

CRT offers interactive joyful mindfulness based CUSTOM TAILORED programs that promote flexibility, strength and balance while targeting a long-term healthy lifestyle. CRT establishes the big impact of practicing mental, physical and emotional care for as little as 5-10 minutes each day, while using SLOW and SHORT activities, one on one or within your community.

HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND! Mindful based stress reduction and simple healthy practices.

Frontline Farming

FLF is a food justice and farmer advocacy organization that believes good food should be for all people and that farmers deserve living wages. We develop asset-based and data-driven solutions that are community derived. We funnel money, resources, and time into the communities we serve and the farmers who grow our food.

WomensNet – Amber Grant for Women

Today, WomensNet carries on that tradition, proudly giving away at least $30,000 every month in Amber Grant money. In recognition of the diversity of businesses owned by women, we’ve also expanded our grant-giving to include: Marketing Grants, Business Category Grants, as well as two $25,000 Year End Grants.

USDA – Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)

The program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Agricultural producers may also apply for new energy efficient equipment and new system loans for agricultural production and processing.

The Sheep and Goat Innovation Fund

The Sheep and Goat Innovation Fund is a revolving fund established within the National Livestock Producers Association to assist the U.S. sheep and goat industries by strengthening and enhancing the production and marketing of sheep and goats and their products in the United States.

Saving Tomorrow’s Agriculture Resources (STAR)

Saving Tomorrow?s Agriculture Resources (STAR) is a free nationwide tool to assist farm operators and landowners in evaluating their management practices on individual fields. STAR encourages farmers and landowners to use management practices and make decisions that will reduce the nutrient and soil losses on their fields, improve soil health, maintain smart water utilization, and more.

RURAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, INC.

REO’s National Farmworker Jobs Program has two specific goals. This includes helping farmworker families become economically self-sufficient through training and employment services. Montana?s agricultural workers and their spouse, children and other dependents have access to educational programs to complete their high school credentials, access and complete job training (such as CDL, CNA, and technical programs and seminars), and college certificates or degrees. The program services adults and youth 18-24. These opportunities lead to full-time employment, improved family income, and greater economic security. In addition, REO provides emergency services, such as food and gas, to seasonal and migrant workers living in Montana and traveling to Montana for employment purposes. Not all offices have a Spanish speaking individual. Those needing this service should call Jesse at 406-839-7852.

Montana Farmers Union

MFU is working for family farms, ranches, rural communities, & supports its members through: Strong education programs for both youth and adults, by advocating member-driven policies & legislation at the state and federal level, & cooperation through producer-owned co-ops.
