University of Idaho I Community Mental Health Resources

The Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), formerly the Counseling and Testing (CTC) center, provides a range of mental health services to support University of Idaho students in their pursuit of academic and career goals, personal development and community engagement. Our faculty and staff are also committed to training future mental health professionals, including postdoctoral psychology residents, doctoral psychology interns, clinical social workers and trainees from other mental health professions. In addition to the services offered by the Counseling and Mental Health Center many community resources are available to students including Idaho State Wide 24/7 crisis centers, online mental health resources, phone apps, grief support resources and on campus resources through Vandal Health Education.

Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center

Virginia Garcia serves more than 47,000 people in the community each year. We have 18 clinics providing care in two counties. There are more than 60 languages spoken at the clinics and our more than 600 employees work every day to provide high quality, culturally-appropriate care to our patients.

We work hard every day to provide this kind of care, but we couldn’t do it without the support of our generous donors. Want to get involved but don’t know how? Check out our Friends of Virginia Garcia and Corporate and Community pages for more information.
