Small Farmers Journal

The Small Farmer’s Journal is a highly acclaimed, award-winning international agrarian quarterly. It was established in 1976 by Lynn Miller. It currently goes out to 72 countries worldwide, as well as all of the U.S. states and Canadian provinces. The Small Farmer’s Journal has steadfastly held that the most important, useful and vital component of all agriculture is the independent family farm, that operation which is held close for comfort, care and fertility; that operation, which is held dear, near and tightly as it is truly part of the family.

Regenerative Agricultural Alliance

The mission of the RAA is to scale up regenerative poultry in the movement to provide a farmer driven model that showcases regenerative agriculture as the transformational shift needed to balance our ecosystems at large. We approach regenerative agriculture through ecosystem management. Just as the regenerative poultry system works with the entire ecosystem of the land to produce abundant food, scaling regenerative poultry takes an ecosystem of businesses to produce regenerative outcomes. That is why collective ecosystem management forms the backbone of what we do.

O’ahu Resource Conservation & Development Council

The O’ahu Resource Conservation & Development Council is an independent non-profit entity that works to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. While our mission and mandate are broad, recent work has focused on assisting rural enterprises and farmers, while fostering education and adoption of sound conservation practices on rural lands. Several current projects engage farmers in imperiled watersheds, supporting their efforts to reduce soil erosion, improve water quality, increase productivity of the land through the use of regenerative farming and ranching practices, and rehabilitate ecological services and habitat through the restoration of native species. We have provided training, fiscal sponsorship support, and a network to cultivate the growth of rural businesses, particularly focusing on those owned and operated by women.

Mad Agriculture

Our work begins with farm planning. We dream big about what the land wants to be and how to implement regenerative principles and practices. Putting ideals into action is hard to do. We use a combination of community support, capital and markets to activate regenerative agriculture on the land. Our work learns from and contributes to an emerging and diverse community of funders, practitioners and purchasers. We focus on the Midwest and High Plains of the United States. Exceptions can and will be made.
