National Center for Frontier Communities

We empower small, remote areas for equal advantage to larger communities. We support people and programs by raising awareness, leading discourse on issues, sharing resources and information, and actively engaging with policymakers, agencies and the public.

The National Center for Frontier Communities is engaged in a number of programs on the national, state and local levels: Advocacy, Frontier Food Systems, Southwest NM Food Hub, Prevent Substance Abuse, Non-Profit Resources, and more.

MESA, Inc.

MESA is a global grassroots network of farmers, researchers, activists and agripreneurs reviving community food systems. MESA connects sustainable farming leaders around the world for participatory learning and cross-cultural exchange to strengthen local, resilient food systems worldwide. Since 1997, MESA has connected over 1400 farmers, activists and advocates and helped launch 146 small-scale farms and food justice projects worldwide.

The Hawaiʻi Agricultural Foundation in 2010), the mission of HAF is to support and sustain Hawaiʻi’s agricultural industry by addressing the critical needs and services of farmers and the industry in Hawaiʻi, and by better connecting them with the community and vice-versa.
