UpRoot Colorado

We are currently piloting a pilot project in coordination with Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) — the farm & food mobile workforce — that provides on-demand and supplemental labor to Colorado producers along the northern Front Range, in Delta County and in southwestern Colorado (i.e., in La Plata and Montezuma counties via the Good Food Collective).

Oregon State University Coast to Forest: Mental Health Promotion in Rural Oregon

The Coast to Forest collaboration between the OSU Extension Family and Community Health Program and the OSU Center for Health Innovation works on mental health promotion and substance misuse prevention. Our goals work to: Reduce opioid misuse and abuse and their underlying causes and consequences Improve mental health and well-being in four rural or frontier Oregon counties: Lincoln, Tillamook, Baker, and Union The Coast to Forest initiative builds upon existing state and community strengths and resources. This includes a growing network of community health workers, radio stations covering communities health and wellness, community-level partnerships and an expanding Mental Health First Aid network

Sierra Harvest

We offer a 14 week ag skills on-farm course in summers, have a 1-2 day intensive farm conference, a 7-week farm business training class, classes on how to get certified organic, support for sales to buyers, advocate locally and state-wide for policies, have farm tours to learn from other farmers and gatherings too.

Nourish Colorado

We channel funding to and provide training and technical assistance to local growers through a variety of programs to help support local economies and increase access to healthy foods. We manage statewide Double Up Food Bucks (SNAP incentive), WIC and Older Adult CSA, and various farm to school/local procurement initiatives.

Big Island Farm Bureau

We collectively represent the 4 farm bureau chapters on the Big Island of Hawaii, and we have an island-wide membership of 650+ members. Our mission is to represent, support and promote the social, economic and educational interests of ranchers, farmers and agriculture on the island of Hawaii. Our state organization provides many of these services and we facilitate them. We operate an Ag-Tourism business that markets and host farm tours statewide.

Alaska Seeds of Change

Our hydroponic warehouse, growing primarily herbs and lettuce, serves as the main setting for our vocational training, mental health services, and basic needs support youth programs. We accept calls and questions about our program model, offer up to 1-hour of basic hydroponics consultation (we use Zip Grow vertical grow towers) over zoom, and can help connect Alaskans to mental health services provided by our parent organization Alaska Behavioral Health.

Ajo Center for Sustainable Agriculture

We provide beginning farmer training, including an incubator farm and incubator market program, plus provide a variety of workshops and technical assistance to farmers, from marketing, financial management and business planning to field practices. We also have a mini-grants program. We specialize on tribal farmers and ranchers, and other socially disadvantaged farmers.

High Desert Food and Farm Alliance

Food and community are the heart of our mission. We work in concert with Central Oregon farms, entrepreneurs and organizations to implement projects, initiatives, networking events and conferences to create a more healthy and vibrant food and farm community. We collectively market local food and co-promote our amazing small to mid-sized family farmers, provide networking events, training opportunities, and infrastructure grants.
