California AgrAbility is part of a nationwide USDA program that began through the 1990 Farm Bill. This project helps to link farmers, agricultural workers and ranchers with disabilities to vital assistance services through referrals. All callers are encouraged to continue working in agriculture. Staff provides callers with farm site assessment, information for equipment modifications, job restructuring, healthcare and rehabilitation.

Farmer-Veteran Coalition (FVC)
Our mission is to “mobilize veterans to feed America”. FVC works with military veterans and active-duty military personnel who are interested in pursuing careers in farming or ranching. We work to match those who want to farm with mentors, and work with many partners across the country. We sponsor educational farming workshops and help veterans looking for farm employment or apprentice opportunities. We run a small grants project for a limited number of veterans, primarily targeting combat disabled veterans. We support women veterans and disabled veterans.
