Oregon Tilth is a nonprofit research and education membership organization dedicated to biologically sound and socially equitable agriculture. Tilth’s history begins in 1974, as an agricultural organization with a unique urban-rural outlook. Primarily an organization of organic farmers, gardeners and consumers, Tilth offers educational events throughout the state of Oregon, and provides organic certification services to organic growers, processors, and handlers internationally.

Friends of Family Farmers (FoFF)

Friends of Family Farmers promotes sensible policies, programs, and regulations that protect and expand the ability of Oregon’s family farmers to run a successful land-based enterprise while providing safe and nutritious food for all Oregonians. Through education, advocacy, and community organizing, FoFF supports socially and environmentally responsible family-scale agriculture and citizens working to shape healthy rural communities. Willamette Farm and Food Coalition

Willamette Farm and Food Coalition is a community nonprofit that has been connecting farmers and consumers in Lane County, Oregon for the past decade. Our projects and services facilitate greater understanding of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of our food choices. We assist consumers and institutional food buyers in finding local foods, educate children about where their food comes from through our Farm to School Program, and publish the annual “Locally Grown Guide to Sourcing Local Foods”, which is available online in a searchable format: http://www.lanefood.org/locally-grown.php. Our Southern Willamette Valley Bean & Grain Project is a consortium of farms, businesses, community organizers and non-profit organizations working to stimulate the cultivation and local marketing of organically grown grains, dry beans, and edible seeds.

Gorge Grown Food Network

“Gorge Grown Food Network (GGFN) is a web of individuals and organizations working to build a vibrant local food system. We serve 5 counties in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington.” “GGFN strives to support our local producers by bolstering markets and business development. We provide technical training for farmers and makers such as growing-season extension, effective marketing, and branding. We link beginning farmers to available land and broker relationships between institutional buyers, farmers, chefs, schools and manufacturers seeking local ingredients.” “GGFN aims to ensure equal access to quality food for all. We have developed a local food marketing campaign including Mobile Markets, a Healthy Cornerstore Initiative, and the Who’s Your Farmer directory. GGFN and partners hold frequent workshops to educate consumer about the value of local food and how to prepare it. GGFN manages 3 farmers markets and support 6 others via the Rural Farmers Market Network.”
