Southwest Center for Agricultural Health Injury Prevention and Education

The SW Ag Center, located at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center, serves Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas as part of a program initiative of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The initiative established a network of centers, funded on a competitive basis, to conduct programs of research, prevention, intervention, education and outreach designed to reduce occupational injuries and diseases among agricultural workers and their families.

The AgriStress Helpline is a free and confidential crisis and support line that you can call or text 24/7, and interpretation services are provided in 160 languages. The helpline is answered by trained professionals who can offer support and/or help you find mental health resources in your area. We know that agriculture is unique and that is why our crisis specialists have received training on the factors that impact people working in agriculture.
